We are currently stuck on the 3.3.3 version of zxing ( from 2018), due to incompatibilities with Android 5 and 6 after version 3.4.0.
We should explore the possibility of upgrading to 3.5.2 since the release notes state that this version restores compatibility with older JDKs.

For QA: Please test that QR scanning ( account login and URL QR code scan) works as expected.
Please make sure you test at least one Android 5 device and one Android 6 device that previously worked. Thank you!

Verified as fixed on Nightly 120.0a1 from 10/18 with Sony Xperia (Android 6.0.1) and Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 ( Android 5.1). The QR scanning (account login and URL QR code scan) works as expected on the mentioned Android 6 and Android 5 devices. However, there is an open issue ( https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1807593) specifically related to Android 5 devices which is still reproducible on Xiaomi mi4i (Android 5.0.2).
