User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0
Steps to reproduce:
I was just typing something on a website.
Actual results:
The screen of Firefox was completely broken, so I had to re-launch it.
Expected results:
The screen should be stayed as normal. The issue started since several days ago, so I assume that the latest update may cause the issue.

Hi, nothingness6,
1.Would you please attach the contents of your "about:support"? Use the "Copy text to clipboard" button and paste that text as an attachment to this bug.
- Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe
Mode disables add-ons, extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some
JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems.)
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
3.Is it possible for you to use https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ (you
can use the GUI version of this tool) to bisect help identify the change that
would have caused this issue for you?

nothingness6 , could you please elaborate the STR?
What is the website you were using when the issue occurred? Does the issue occur when accessing only this website?
Did you perform any additional actions besides typing something(switch the window, switch the tabs, other)?
Fernando Toledo, if possible, could you please share more details on your issue too as requested above?

hi @ina,
It is not for a specific site, I am on the about:support page as you can see in my screenshots. A rectangular area appears that seems transparent since the back window can be seen (the audacity)
This happens randomly while you are browsing.

Just to make sure that I understand correctly, the issue occurs in Firefox 117.0.1 while having about:support opened( either in Troubleshoot mode or using a new profile)? It's still not clear what are the STR here given that this issue occurs randomly.
Did you notice if the issue occurs when switching the windows or after a certain period of time?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Win32' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

We actually need the output of your about:support as a text file, not a screen capture.
Without being able to see that, I don't know if you're already running in this mode, but can you please go to about:config and change the value gfx.webrender.software to "false" and report here if the behavior continues to happen?
