When switching to another inbox, message list scrolls up

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/116.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Set messages to show newest at bottom
(have several hundred earlier messages)
Scroll to bottom of messages
Go to another Inbox
Return to first Inbox

Actual results:

On return to first Inbox, the list has scrolled up so I'm now seeing old messages.

Expected results:

On return to first Inbox, scroll should be where I left it (bottom of list).

Previous versions of Thunderbird have never done this. It started with new v115.3.2.
In Settings I tried disabling "Autoscroll) whatever that is. The problem remains.
