Steps to reproduce:

Hello Thunderbird 115.3.2 (64 bit)
I have several email accounts and when switching between accounts I have a screen with messages (sorted by date) and when I open it I see the view as if it were in the middle of the list and not at the end, I have to scroll to the bottom to read the messages
If I put the newest sort on the top, it works fine

Actual results:

when I open it, the view appears to be in the middle of the list, not at the end

Expected results:

I have sorting by date where the newest should be the newest at the bottom
