pressing ESC and pressing the stop button are not the same thing

pressing ESC is not as efficient as pressing the stop button. Sometimes, ESC
just doesn't stop a page from loading, while the stip button does. Additionally,
IF the stopping action was successful, and onlz verz little (possiblz just the
headers) of a page have benn loaded, an empty page is displayed

Expected Results:  
STOP button and ESC should behave identically
