If this is the wrong component please fix.

I frequently copy images from Firefox (Nightly) into the Signal app.
Sometime in the last week (4-5 days?) I noticed that this stopped working.

When I copy an image and go to paste (ctrl + V) in the Signal app nothing happens. I tested from release Firefox and it still works fine.

I tested pasting the same image into Chrome in imgur.com and it also worked fine.

I forgot to add that someone reported they tested this on Nightly on Linux and could not reproduce. So it may be Windows only. (I'm on Windows 11)

Thanks for reporting this issue. Could you help to try if set prefs clipboard.imageAsFile.enabled to true helps? Thanks!

Yes. This fixed it.

I would be curious to know, if you can copy images from Chrome into the Signal app?

It does not.

I should have thought to test that.

This suggest the issue is in Signal not Firefox.

Closing the bug.
