Steps to reproduce:
de-select:
[ ] Use Paragraph format instead of Body Text by default
in Settings / Composition / HTML Style
- Create a new message.
- write some text.
- create a bullet or numbered list.
- hit ENTER twice.
Actual results:
HTML Style wrongly reverts to "Paragraph".
Expected results:
HTML Style should stay on "Body Text".

At least, I can reproduce this on Tb115, 91, 60, 52.

Unfortunately, I don't know when this first appeared. I think it may have been around forever, or ever since the Paragraph style was introduced, or ever since Paragraph style was made the default. I guessing the answer is since "forever". :-\

Yep. The STR in the report of bug 678618 are the exact same STR for this bug.
bug 678618 is was opened 12 years ago, so my guess for the age of this bug of "since forever" was not too far off. ;-)
