Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/119.0

Steps to reproduce:

In Thunderbird 115.4.1 MacOS:
Create new event in calendar
Click "Invite Attendees"
Change pre-filled address of organizer (e.g., from "user@local.host" to "name@google.com")
Change pre-setting for organizer from "Required Attendee" to "Chair"
Click ok

Actual results:

The event organizer (labeled "Organizer") remains "user@local.host".
The list of attendees shows "name@google.com" twice, both as "required".

Note: All attendees are duplicated when entered in the "Invite" dialogue, not only the chair.

Expected results:

The event organizer (labeled "Organizer") is "name@google.com".
The list of attendees shows "name@google.com" only once, as "Chair".

This was still working fine before my update from 112 to 115.

Sorry - not 112 but 102: This was still working fine before my update from 102 to 115.

Duplicate lines is bug 1858629.
You can't set the organizer - bug 1858993. So when you change the first line you just add an attendee.
