We don't have this device to test with unfortunately. Does this happen on web site video like youtube?

Youtube automatically switches to AVC, which is displayed properly, though the device is capable to decode VP9. When media.mediasource.vp9.enabled is manually toggled on in about:config, only the magnified upper left corner of a youtube video can be seen then.

It seems that it is the same bug as in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1825631. 101.0.0-beta.1 is the earliest version that can reproduce this bug for me, just like there, and that was a huawei device in this report too.
