Details

Steps to reproduce:

  • Run Thunderbird 115.4.1 (this bugwas reproduced in safe mode too: thunderbird -safe-mode)
  • Add the button "Next Unread" to the toolbar
  • Click on this button

Actual results:

  • works fine when unread messages are available
  • but crashes when no unread message are left in inboxes

The terminal and the debug console are empty, so I don't have any additional hints to give unfortunately

Expected results:

Do not crash :)

How many messages in the inbox?
Does crash stop after right+click on inbox and do properties > repair?

I can't reproduce this bug anymore, I'll reopen in case it reappears.
