Mozilla hangs solid hitting enter/go on Google. Go to Google, enter a string in
the text box, and hit search. The browser sends the request, then promptly
hangs. No controls work, the windows stop updating themselves, basically the
browser goes off into never never land. The only way to terminate is to kill -9
mozilla_pid.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start mozilla.
2.Enter http://www.google.com/ in the address bar.
3.Type turbosound into the google form and hit enter.
Actual Results:
Browser freezes, complete lock, does not respond to anything.
Expected Results:
Display search results
Dual CPU Asus 2x1Ghz, 1GB RAM, Slackware, SMP kernel 2.4.19. Dual headed X11
display (Xinerama). I can usually get Google searches to work if I hit a couple
other sites first, but it hangs the browser every time if it's the first thing I do.

on build 2002-12-23-trunk, RedHat 7.3, first thing I did was go to google.com
and type in turbosound, and then pressed enter. Nothing unusual happend. Can you
try a more recent build?

I'll try a more recent build. A little more info: Mozilla is in /usr/local, this
login doesn't have write permission there. I can send strace dumps of the
processes if that would be helpful, just let me know where to put them.

With 1.3a build 2002121217, same problem. Yahoo seems to work ok. Nice Debug/QA
menus :)
Does not affect me any. Which version browser is it on? Email at
andreww@comcast.net to tell me.
