Steps to reproduce:
I tried to set up my custom colours in the new version of Thunderbird, but they would not hold.
Actual results:
They disappear immediately.
Expected results:
They should have remained in the custom colours section until I changed them.

What custom colors do you mean?
If you mean userChrome.css/userContent.css you'll have to adopt the css rules as much of the UI changed.

The Thunderbird ones, of course. I have no idea what "userChrome.css/userContent.css". The custom font colours for Thunderbird worked fine until the last version.

Sorry -- meant I have no idea what " userChrome.css/userContent.css" means.

But what do you mean by custom colours? For what? Please give exact steps to reproduce.

When you hit the text colour button (in between the font style button and the font size buttons), you have an option to use the colours given or to create custom colours and save them below. Up until the last Thunderbird update, that was no problem. Afterwards, none of the custom colours I create will save. I use coloured text to clarify where a section of text in the thread (i.e,. first, second, etc.), but the colours given are often either too light or too dark -- which is why I need custom colours, and to not have to create them each time I need them.

I think Pashta MaryMoon is talking about the Windows color picker.
If you select a color in the right color field and then click on "Add color", the dialog on the left creates up to 16 user-defined colors from which you can finally choose.
If you now select a color, the dialog closes. If you open it again, all user-defined colors are reset to white.
"Windows Paint" also uses this color selector. The colors are preserved there at least until the end of the program.

We also use dialog in other places. For example, for the folder icon color. The behavior also occurs there.
Windows only? Or does the error also occur with other OSs?
