The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Looks like you're using Snap. Can you try plain Mozilla binaries?
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems#Testing_Mozilla_binaries
Thanks.
@Martin,
i tried deb Firefox couple weeks and didn't find the issue.
Im not sure how to reproduce the snap Firefox issue and
just wait days to get the issue again.
Thanks

it's weird that it disappears. can you share snap changes ? do you know if it could be related e.g. to updates getting applied ?

@gerard-majax,
$ sudo snap changes no changes found
Ok, but maybe the update was too long ago ?

Ok, but I was not made aware of that earlier. 124 shipped two weeks ago, Snap automatic update would keep retrying for 13 days at most. Can you suggest if it might have happened at a time that would match ?

sorry, i dont have any clue how to reproduce.
It seems to disappear coincidentally
what kind of logs do you need? I could help to collect it once the issue show.

I'm not asking how to reproduce, I'm asking if the moment it disappeared could match the moment a snap package update might have been performed, assuming if you did not killed the browser it would be forced in background, and 124 release was shipped on march 19: https://whattrainisitnow.com/release/?version=124 and I know snapd has a temporization mechanism of up to 13 days for those.

sorry, i didnt explain well.
i don't think the snapd update causes this issue.
when i played 118, the firefox disappear coincidentally.
Then I was notified the 119 update, manually update to 119 didn't resolve the issue.
until now.

now this is different from what you stated in comment 0 where my understand was "start firefox, icon works as expected, wait a few days, it stops working but firefox is still open"

as soon as you see it, would be nice to verify if snap changes shows something for example. Amin might have more clues?

If you can file a bug on launchpad against snapd itself, I think it might help? I'll ping canonical people to cross-check
