with PC 1999111108,Win NT (SP4), 288MB RAM 1. launch apprunner. 2. try to load any URL not on our LAN when our gateway to internet is NOT connected (we have a LINUX box with modem providing IP masquerading) 3. try to load a site from a machine on our LAN OR open a file on the local machine. RESULT: site is not displayed, will say "document done" but not display anything. Eventually (about 4 miniutes) will bring up a do you want to dial under NT and once you say no it will after a minute or so bring up the loacl page you requested. This does not happen under LINUX. Even if you click stop then reenter URL will do same thing. With netscape or IE if you enter a URL which isnt accessible and then enter a new URL or local file it will stop trying to do the old one and open the new one. Hence off-line browsing or browsing the intranet is virtually impossible as as soon as you click on a link off the LAN will have to wait 5 minutes or restart apprunner. possibly related / the same as bug #16484 ?????

To replicate: just pull out your network cable enter a URL somewhere inaccessible try to open a local file
Depends on: 8886
This seems to be working OK for me on Linux in the 12-02 build. How is it on Windows? If it's fixed, could someone mark the bug as WORKSFORME.
