Details

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to https://www.entrust.com
  2. Click the lock icon in the toolbar
  3. Click "connection is secure" item

Expected behavior

"Connection is secure" information should show
Verified By: Entrust, Inc.

Actual behavior

"Connection is secure" information shows
Verified By: Entrust\, Inc.

Fenix 120, but I imagine this has been around a while.

GoDaddy certs are even worse (e.g. https://www.godaddy.com). Should show

  • should show: Verified By: GoDaddy.com, Inc.
  • does show: Verified By: GoDaddy.com\, Inc.,L=Scottsdale,ST=Arizona

Firefox Desktop show these as expected.

It's disappointing that there appears to be no way to get certificate details in Fenix, unlike Chromium mobile browsers. On the other hand, Samsung Internet only shows "connection secure" and doesn't even show the minimal "Verified By" information

Speaking of Chrome: Firefox/Fenix show the issuer "Organization" field. Edge/Chrome show the issuer "Common Name". That is, for these examples

  • Entrust Certification Authority - L1M
  • Go Daddy Secure Certificate Authority - G2
