Steps to reproduce:

Install new Thunderbird, view emails

Actual results:

New emails appear at the bottom of the list

Expected results:

New emails should appear at the top of the list

Default sort order is Ascending. Default sort order should be Descending to match expected behavior of virtually every other modern email client on Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and MacOS

That's already been changed in bug 481143, not in version 115 yet.
