Steps to reproduce:
v 115.4.1 32b Win 10 Pro 22H2 build 19045.3693
In normal operation "Apply columns to… Folder (and) Folder and its children" does not work. Switched to Troubleshooting mode, chose a folder 1-level below the account, setup the columns as desired, clicked Apply… chose a folder on the same level and it failed. Repeated this process numerous times up and down the levels (I have 6-levels descending from the Account) and it failed both ways EVERY TIME.
Actual results:
Every trial of "Apply columns to…" FAILED, i.e., nothing changed from TB's default. I also tried "Apply current view to…" in the same fashion and every trial FAILED. TB never once set the columns present to my desired order, turned off the Toggle Threads button, nor set the space as I set it in any other folder regardless of the location of the origin folder or the target parent or folder.
Expected results:
"Apply columns to…" should have (a) turned off closed/hidden/removed the Toggle threads button; (b) re-ordered the columns to my selected order; sort by starred / attached / Date / Subject / Read / Spam / Correspondent from the default TB order and (c) set the spacing to the same settings as the folder in which I specified these things.

Does this still reproduce for you in version 128?
Please let us know.
I am currently on v115.4.1 32-b Supernova. The issue is no longer present.
It would be nice if the users could set their own default as anytime a new folder is created it defaults to the app's presets, but the menui optiosn to change the current columns and the current view are both working.
