User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:121.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/121.0

Steps to reproduce:

I'm asking since my computer has been crashing, and I have the idea that it's because I keep reloading the sidebar extension lots of times, for debugging. Does it keep some sort of cache that keeps growing? At some point my cpu gets high and everything freezes. Forcing me to reboot the computer. I've been removing the extension and restarting firefox periodically to avoid this.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'WebExtensions::Untriaged' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Product: Firefox → WebExtensions

Can you perhaps create a smallest extension which reproduces the problem, and then get a performance profile when it gets slow/low on memory? https://profiler.firefox.com/

Without more information, this is not exactly actionable for us.
