User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20021225
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20021225
When you open the Preferences dialog, there is no text in the left pane, but
there is an empty selection and the preferences for the current component
(Navigator, Mail/News, or whatnot) is displayed. You can move the selection
with the keyboard arrow keys, but the right pane doesn't change. Also, there's
a scrollbar, but scrolling isn't possible.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the Preferences dialog (Edit|Preferences...).
2. Observe.
Actual Results:
The dialog opens, but there's nothing in the left pane.
Expected Results:
The dialog should open and I should be able to set my preferences.

Screen shot that illustrates what I mean
WFM, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20021225
Which theme are you using? Can you reproduce it with Modern or Classic?

You're right. It does work fine in a clean install. However, I did some
experimenting and it stops working when I install Calendar.
This is true with my preferred theme (Orbit) and with Modern and Classic.
Confirming with SVG build 20021228 on Win98.
Simply installing Calender on a fresh install of
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/2002-12-29-07-trunk/mozilla-win32-svg-GDI-mathml.zip
will show this.
Not sure where this should go, trying SVG first.

Keith, Hasse: Is this still an issue with recent SVG builds? I'd like to close
this bug otherwise.
I see no problem of this sort with the SVG build from 2004-02-23 and the latest
Calendar nightly.

Great, thanks a lot for checking. I'll close this bug then :-)
