Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:120.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/120.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a video stream on second monitor (twitch.tv in my case) in a maximised window.
  2. Mute stream by hovering over the video controls in the bottom left and clicking the speaker icon.
  3. Play a youtube video (in a non-maximised window) on the main monitor and pause it.
  4. Attempt to unmute the stream by repeating step 2 (note also pressing 'm' to toggle in the window also does not appear to work)

Actual results:

Stream does not unmute.
It can be 'fixed' by resizing the window on the second monitor

Expected results:

Stream should unmute.

Note it's not 100% reproducible. I'm not sure exactly when it happens but it seems when I leave the twitch stream muted and the youtube video paused for some time it reproduces more reliably.

I cannot reproduce this too. And I guess that this is caused by failure of managing sound devices.

Component: DOM: UI Events & Focus Handling → Audio/Video: Playback

In all honesty I suspect it's my combination of plugins that aren't helping either. But FWIW the volume control pop-in element becomes unresponsive, rather than sound itself working/not working.

I'm unable to repro on my end, either. :cchang, would you have any ideas here?
