Details

I'm not sure this is a bug, but it is unfortunate:
if a local mail message contains a virus, and you tell Norton to DELETE the file
that has the virus, it wipes out the entire mail folder (the only file that
exists). Obviously, this is a consequence of storing all messages in the same
file, which is beneficial for other reasons. I'm not sure what we can do about
this, but I wanted to get some comments.
This also occurs if you leave symantec antivirus on its default setting of scan
all files with real-time scanning, if a virus is found in the file, it
quarantine's the file, making the file un-usable unless an action is taken in
the quarantine option of symantec antivirus.
