On the online games site Neopets (http://www.neopets.com) there are a lot of
Flash games. These games are loaded in a new window. When I Full-screen such a
window (by pressing F11), play the game, and then want to restore it to
non-full-screen (by pressing F11 again) it won't respond to F11. Eventually
closed the window with ALT+F4, but now the Windows XP Start Tray has
dissappeared. I am not sure if this happens only on the Neopets.com pages.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.neopets.com/login.phtml
2. Log in using this testaccount: Username: bugzillatestaccount Password: bugzilla
3. http://neopets.com/games/meercachase.phtml
4. Click on the central image
5. Full-screen the new window (with the game in it) by pressing F11.
6. Play the the game
7. Try Un-full-screen by pressing F11 again.
8. Close the new window by using ALT+F4
Actual Results:
My start-tray was gone, and I was annoyed at Mozilla because it did not
un-full-screen. I had to ALT+TAB to get to other Mozilla windows.
Expected Results:
Un-full-screen when I pressed F11 again
I could get my Start tray back by:
1. Alt+Tab to another Mozilla Window.
2. Fullscreen that window.
3. Un-fullscreen that window.
This is what makes me believe that the problem occurs because of the flash-only
content of the window.

Confirmed 2002122721/win98 (SVG / GDI build).
The two issues are:
Full screen flash page cannot be restored to normal size.
Upon closing fullscreen flash window taskbar (inc. system tray) are not redrawn.

Seeing this bug, using current trunk build - WinXP-Sp1 - Flash Mx plugin 6.0 r65.
Seems to be a plugin bug, isn't it ?
Changing component to plugins should be right, isn't it ?
Thanks for the feedback on this. It's my first bug report on Bugzilla, so I wasn't too sure of the component in which it belonged. I changed it to Plug-ins now.
I'm running Windows XP, Latest version of Mozilla (1.2.1). I don't know how to determine the version of my Flash player.
Once the plugin has focus it takes all the browser keyboard commands, not just
F11. See bug 181177 and bug 93149.
The missing taskbar is perhaps bug 1266683.
Sorry, that should be bug 126683 for the taskbar issue.

WFM with Moz 1.7.3 on WinXP, but on a different page with a flash popup
(jibjab.com).
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest nightly (or even 1.7.3)?
If not, this bug has probably been fixed and can be closed. Thanks.
Thanks for your response. I just checked with 1.7.3; The bug is semi-resolved.
One aspect, the task tray not being redrawn, is solved. The other aspect, not
being able to use F11 to return from fullscreen mode is not resolved.

Sander, it works for me with 1.7.3 on WinXP -- I can use F11 to both go into
fullscreen mode, as well as return from fullscreen mode. What extensions do you
have installed? Maybe one of the extensions is trapping F11??

Hi,
Ok, just to make sure we're all on the same page I've updated the steps (the
site changed it's login procedure slightly), and made it more detailed.
1. Log in to Neopets.com
1a. Go to http://www.neopets.com
1b. In the lefthand menu, choose Login
1c. Fill in the username 'bugzillatestaccount', press 'Log in to Neopets'
1d. Fill in the password 'bugzilla' and the CAPTCHA security code.
2. Go to a game
2a. Go to the page http://neopets.com/games/meercachase.phtml
2b. Click the central image, with text 'Click to play' under it. A popup opens.
2c. Wait for the game to load (It will show an animation while loading)
2d. Press F11.
2e. Click on the game to give it focus, in order to be able to play.
3. Play the game
3a. Click the Play button, move around the thingy a bit, grow bored, die by
crashing into the side.
3d. Press F11 to try to leave full-screen.
Step 3d fails for me. Perhaps you only went through the steps to 2d, and then
immediately tried F11 again, without clicking on the game to give it focus? I
can make it un-full-screen if I do not transfer focus from the window to the
game.
My extensions, although I doubt they influence this, are:
1. DOM Inspector (1.0)
2. Magpie (3.1.2)
3. Web Developer (0.8)
4. Foxy Tunes (0.61)
5. Gmail Notifier (0.3.3)
6. Nuke Anything (0.2)
7. StumbleUpon (1.998)
8. WindowsUpdate (0.7)
Plugin: Shockwave Flash (NPSWF32.dll), 7.0 r19
Thank you for your time,
Sander
