Platform: PowerBook G4/1GHz/1GB/60GB, MacOS X 10.2.3
Fizzilla build: 2002121216 (1.3a)

I was following a link from MacRumors

http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2002/12/20021227191929.shtml

to the US Patent Office website. The QuickTime plugin displays the big Q for a
moment, then nothing. I kept hitting reload; Moz crashed. Stack attached.

Attached file Moz crash @ USPTO
The crash is a crash in the quicktime plugin itself, according to that stack....
Assignee: asa → peterlubczynski
Component: Browser-General → Plug-ins
QA Contact: asa → shrir
Keywords: crash
This still crashes as described by the reporter in the latest build
(2004033005). (Crash log shows crash is in exactly the same place.) However as
Boris points out the crash itself is in QuickTime. Not sure what should happen
to it. Uploading crash report as it has slighly more info (change in 10.3?)
I don't know if this should be a new bug, or part of this one since it is on PC
rather than a Mac...

When looking at IMAGES at the US patent office website Firefox locks up. It
shows the Q for quicktime logo, and then nothing. I have to "End Task" to exit.

This is on Windows XP

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414
Firefox/1.0.3

Using Quicktime 6.5.2
Another non-Mac reporter on this:

=======

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051024 SeaMonkey/1.1a
QuickTime Plug-in 7.0.3
TIFF MIME type enabled.

I do not get a hang, but a quit. SeaMonkey disappears. No talkback. Just gone.

=======

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915
QuickTime Plug-in 7.0.3
TIFF MIME type enabled.

At times I get:
No crash, no hang, no quit.
Picture does not display, but at least I don't crash.

Other times I get:
Illegal Operation in Plugin error message
Quicktime Plug-in 7.0.3
The plug-in performed an illegal operation.
You are strongly advised to restart Navigator.
