Steps to reproduce:
Visit https://ruffle.rs/
Alternatively, any page with Flash content can also reproduce the issue with the ruffle extension installed and enabled.
I can consistently reproduce this on my Thinkpad x13s (which has an ARM SoC) running Ubuntu 23.10. I have Firefox installed via the default snap. I have tested the issue on multiple x86 linux machines, but it's worked fine on those.
Actual results:
The tab crashes almost immediately.
Expected results:
The tab should not crash, and ruffle should load successfully.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'WebExtensions::Untriaged' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I tried reproducing the issue on the latest Release (121.0/20231211174248) and Nightly (123.0a1/20231227205835) under Windows 10 x64, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS x64 and Firefox Release on an Oppo Reno6 with an ARM architecture, however without success.
With the Ruffle extension installed and enabled, accessing https://ruffle.rs/ does not crash the tab. Neither does accessing other websites with Flash content.
I’ll attempt to get a hold of a device with the correct architecture and OS and come back with updates as soon as possible.
Ah, yes, I probably should have mentioned that I couldn't reproduce it on my Android phone (a Rog Phone 7).
Also, for some additional data points:
The crash (or at least a crash, not 100% sure they're the same) is reproducible if I run the Android Firefox app under Waydroid on the same X13s and Ubuntu install where I initially noticed a bug.
However, if I switch over the the original Windows (ARM) install that came with the laptop, I cannot reproduce the crash. This is with a native Windows ARM64 build of Firefox.
Hopefully that helps to narrow things down.

Based on comment 0 the issue seems to be also meant to be reproducible by visiting ruffle.rs website without the extension (which I assume is meanly meant to allow users to run flash content on arbitrary websites through ruffle.rs) and so this doesn't look like a WebExtensions bug but without some more details about the crash I'm not sure which bugzilla component it would fit better and so for now I'm going to move it back to Firefox :: Untriaged.
hi aroskuski, thank you so much for taking care of filing a bugzilla issue to report us the crash, would you mind to look in a about:crashes tab to double-check if there is a crash report already submitted or pending submission that may have been collected when the Firefox instance have hit the crash?
Some details from a crash report may help to determine which component we could move this issue to the right component (and engineers experienced in the area to look into it in more detail).

Notably, the reports starting from 12/28 seem to look a bit different than the ones from when I originally filed the bug. I don't know why this discrepancy exists, but it seems consistent.
So, since updating to Firefox 121.0.1, I can't seem to reproduce the bug anymore. It's possible some change made in that release may have fixed it.

As reported above I can no longer reproduce the issue on Firefox 121.0.1 and this continues on 122.0, both on my normal profile and a fresh one.
I also can't seem to reproduce the issue on nightly, though I had to install via snap, because I didn't see any builds for the platform I experienced the issue on (ARM64 Linux) on the mozilla website.
This bug can probably be closed at this point. It seems whatever was causing the issue has been fixed.
