Thunderbird groups many sent e-mails wrong, merging completely unrelated threads

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:121.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/121.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Send a lot of e-mails
- Many of the responses of my own e-mails in "Sent e-mails" are attached to completely unrelated e-mail threads, to completely different senders about entirely unrelated topics. This makes it hard to find anything
Actual results:
E-mail grouping is wrong, sent e-mails are grouped below other sent e-mails as if belonging to the same thread, despite being completely unrelated
Expected results:
E-mail grouping is correct and only sent e-mails are grouped as a subthread to others if actually belonging to the same conversation
Does anyone by any chance know how I can manually ungroup this again in thunderbird? There seems to be no obvious way to tell Thunderbird if an e-mail is part of the completely wrong thread and to tell it to somehow just untangle that specific e-mail from that association. That would help me clean up the mess manually. Any ideas appreciated!

Does repairing the folder (via its properties) make a difference? As a workaround, you could set just the sent folder to unthreaded.
Oops, repairing actually fixed it! That's pretty cool, sorry for not thinking to try that first.
