Details

How to reproduce it:

  1. Create or use an existing Ical
  2. Go to the Calendar section and add a remote calendar with this url
  3. Use just location field, do not add username or anu other details
  4. Click on Subscribe when the calendar has been discovered
  5. Then go to Tasks section
  6. Click on a New Task button
  7. Create a new task in a local calendar and save it.
  8. Then click on the event, a new dialogue appears
  9. From the calendar selection choose and select the newly created remote calendar (from step 1-4)
  10. Click save
  11. An error appears "MODIFICATION_FAILED" (The calendar is read only, so I think it's normal)
  12. Then go back to the Tasks space.
  13. The task is not there anymore.

Expected result:

  1. Maybe if the calendar is read only, do not ofer to move the event at all to the new calendar
    or
  2. Keep the event into the original calendar
OS: Unspecified → Linux
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64
Version: unspecified → Thunderbird 123

I don't see the Calendar component, so i added it in General.

Change the Product to Calendar.

Component: General → Provider: ICS/WebDAV
