Steps to reproduce:

I opened and closed the firefox mac application window few times over the course of a work week. The issue did not happen every time, but it seemed to happen most often when I was opening a new firefox window after having a different mac application in focus.

Actual results:

When the new tab page showed, the "customize" side bar on the right was briefly visible before animating off screen. This was odd and distracting. See attached screen recording.

Expected results:

The sidebar should either be visible or not. It should not show for a fraction of a second and then hide itself.

Thanks for the report! This is fixed in Firefox 122, which will be out in about 1.5 weeks' time.
