User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11, U, Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021210 Debian/1.2.1-3 prefs.js is sometimes rewriten by strange content (for ex. by xterm conf file). never fully, only partly - mostly begining of file. I think i should happen when I try to clear disk cache and history. Hope that helps :-) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. clear disk cache and history 2. restart 3. cry Actual Results: prefs.js has unusual content :-) Expected Results: do not modify prefs.js? :-)

Old version, no response. In the meantime the code has improved to save/write the prefs. Resolving as WFM.
