RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1875111

People

Details

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Focus Nightly or, from a current session hit the trash icon
  2. VKB doesn't show

Expected behavior

Up until recently, the VKB would prompt on input focus: immediately on launch and also when hitting the trash icon.

Actual behavior

In the past few days (maybe as long as a week or two?) you need to additionally tap the urlbar when it already has input focus (caret is shown) to prompt the vkb so you can type.

Device information

  • Focus version: 123.0a1-20240115203916
  • Android device model: Pixel 6
  • Android OS version: 14

Any additional information?

None I can think of.

Marking this as a duplicate of 1875111.

Chris, the first issue (keyboard showing on app start) should already be fixed in Nightly.

Confirmed I see the app start part as fixed on my device. As mentioned in bug 1875111 first focus on the urlbar is still a little borked, so I'll follow along there for the rest of the fix.

Thank ye kindly.
