Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:121.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/121.0

Steps to reproduce:

Set up a new firefox sync account via the firefox menu.
Enter an e-mail address and put a typo in your age, e.g. 3 instead of 32

Actual results:

It tells you that you can't create an account due to age restrictions.
You are not able to ever bypass this error message: there is no button, restarting the browser doesn't help, going back doesn't help, clearing your history (including cookies, forms etc. doesn't help)
Whenever you try to set up sync, this error message pops up.

Expected results:

There needs to be a way to get back from this error message to fix the data so you can set up an account

I'm not sure why deleting your cookies isn't working, but there's some additional context in bug 1040424 and bug 1844272.

Thanks for the context. I do agree with people in the first bug saying that it doesn't make sense to let a user of an age you don't allow sign up, but note that typoing that is a valid usecase and there is no way to recover from this (at least in my case, as you write, since I did delete everything as per the dialogue firefox offers when cleaning recent history), which is, apologies, terrible UX and will leave less tech-savvy users completely stranded.

you can go to accounts.firefox.com/clear to clear your local storage (and everything else) which should get you set up.

I realize this is significant roadblock but it's the way it is on the advice of our legal team, so, I'm going to close this bug.
