The Cookie Manager dialog (CookieViewer.xul) doesn't persist its screen position
and windows size. This causes the dialog to always appear in the upper left
hand corner of the screen, even if the Perference dialog is positioned elsewhere.

Jeff, Boris: didn't this fix bug 153378?
Yep, this patch fixes bug 153378 as well. I've resovled bug 153378...thanks
finding it.

The current bug should block bug 145941, as bug 153378 does.
(If it still matters.)

UPDATE: Mozilla 1.4b/Linux - this is not working for me, the manager always
appears centered in my screen.

what now?

mvl: please see comment 8.
Confirmed that the cookie manager shows up centered on linux. The size is
remembered.
But this seems to be a more global thing. For example, the bookmark manager
shows up in some random place too, while it has the same persists attributes in
the code. (could not test on windows if the location is remembered there)

Is this intentional, or a linux bug?
On unix, mozilla lets the window manager handle the placements of windows. see
bug 31086 comment 12 and bug 49802 comment 16.
So this is fixed for linux too.
VERIFIED!
makes sense now that you explain it that way.
