User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20030105 Phoenix/0.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20030105 Phoenix/0.5
When I log in to my bank account at Fleet, it opens a new, blank tab. The
original tab logs me in to the system and proceeds normally.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to https://fleethomelink.fleet.com
2. Login to Fleet
Actual Results:
A new, blank tab is opened
Expected Results:
Logged in to Fleet without a blank tab being opened
I believe this also happens on Linux, although I need to verify once I'm at my
home computer. This does not happen using the latest trunk build of Mozilla.
I'd be happy to research this since I'm sure most folks do not have a Fleet
account. My first thought was to step through the JavaScript but does Venkman
work with Phoenix?

My apologies, should have done a little more research first :)
Once you enter your password into the input field, you can log in either by
hitting Enter or clicking on the Log In button. When I click on the button, a
new tab is not opened. It's only when I hit Enter that a new tab opens.

confirmed on rh8 linux build from earlier today.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
I'm not seeing this with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030411 Phoenix/0.5+ .
Tried both hitting enter and clicking the login button; didn't get a new tab in
either case.
I've got the same problem when logging into my novell groupwise account using
Mozilla Firebird:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030721 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
but I've never had that happening with any nightly builds of Mozilla.
shows the login process for mozilla (correct). username and password are
entered into the form. Pressing ENTER or left clicking the login button (LOGGA
IN) gives the same result. The login page is replaced by the new page in the
active tab.
shows the login process for firebird (incorrect). username and password are
entered into the form. Pressing ENTER or left clicking the login button (LOGGA
IN) gives the different results. Left clicking will do the right thing; The
login page is replaced by the new page in the active tab. Pressing ENTER
produces the bug; The login page is replaced by the new page in the active tab
AND a new login page is opened in a new tab that is being activated.

I am no longer seeing this after Fleet upgraded to their 'new' HomeLink recently.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030517 Mozilla
Firebird/0.6
also worked fine with Firebird 20030825 cvs build on FreeBSD.
