Steps to reproduce:

To reproduce at least :

  • get an imap account,
  • enable compact feature to reduce freeze
  • get many directories and mail

Actual results:

When cache is reset after a crash or for any reason, compact action is running in background.

If a compact is yet in action, an alert inform about can't compact this directory, is yet in progress with another. This error can be occur repeatedly in loop. User can only click "ok" on each alert.

Expected results:

Remove this alert, is useless as user can't be anything.
Compact action is only an internal process then user don't need to know if compact is in progress on one or many directory.
Compact should be just wait and don't block user
