When we remove the old search configuration, we can also remove the application provided parts of WebExtension integrations. We should review the search service code for any of this, and the WebExtension code, in particular ext-chrome-settings-overrides.js.

I took a look and I couldn't see anything that is specific to application provided add-ons in ext-chrome-settings-overrides.js. There are some other clean-ups relating to these add-ons that I've filed bug 1907587 and bug 1907588 for. Marking this as invalid, as there's nothing to do here.
