Actual results:
Nothing
Expected results:
Email should open with file attached
Hi, thank you for reporting on this! I am able to reproduce this on TB 115.8... as well as TB 102. I will take a wild guess and assume that Windows took that option away. I am updating the bug to Windows as I assume if Win10 has this issue, so does Win11. I found a tutorial on how to add more elements to the "send to" menu. That being said, once I was able to select a file and choose "send to mozilla thunderbird", TB102 would open up with a compose window that had the file attached while TB 115 would just open the application and ignore the file. I would treat this as a separate bug as the "sent to menu" might be a windows issue. Feel free to open a new bug if no one else has done it yet.
for backend devs:
tl;dr: I am unsure what desired behaviour is but 1: I redownloaded 102 and 115 on windows 10, I am unable to see either it on the "sent to" win10 menu unless I follow a tutorial. 2: Sending a file from the "send to" menu, 115 only opens the app, not a compose window with attached file like 102.

Thanks for the update.
Doug, can you reproduce?
Works for me in Windows 11, TB 144.0b4 multiple steps: select file (right click), "show more options," "send to >," "mail recipient" opens a new TB email edit window with link embedded:
Your message is ready to be sent with the following file or link attachments:

Don't know of a way right now to elevate the "send to" to the first level right-click menu. (would be nice)
