After I receive a message the full subject is displayed, but when I click on the message initial text in square brackets sometimes vanishes. See the attachments for how it looks. When I look at the message source the square brackets and text are still present in the Subject: field.
The elimination of [text] from the subject doesn't happen with every message. In fact, in tests just now it only happened with some messages from [tb-support-crew]. One pattern: If the subject starts "Re: [tb-support-crew]" the [tb-support-crew] doesn't vanish. But I don't know why it happens with some messages on that mailing list and not others (without Re:).
And when I filter messages using "[tb-support-crew]" the messages no longer displaying the text don't show up -- even though the text is still in the Subject: field when I view source for the message.

Does this still happen in 115?

I'm currently running 115.13.0 on Ubuntu.
I was able to reproduce the issue today.
I looked through my trash folder and the messages from Thunderbird Support Crew without the [tb-support-crew] in recent months were messages from "Daniel Darnell via Thunderbird Support Crew <support-crew@discuss.thunderbird.net>" announcing a new build with an attachment mark. I clicked a message from Daniel without an attachment mark and the attachment mark appeared and the [tb-support-crew] vanished. Apparently the message had been deleted without being opened.
I currently had one build message from Daniel without an attachment mark so I can try to reproduce it one more time, plus any new messages I get from Daniel announcing builds.
(It's possible this happened on other messages, but I didn't find any in my search.)
