RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1715691

People

(Reporter: f0rhum, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:122.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/122.0

Steps to reproduce:

I had added en.wikipedia.org among others for years in my french FF beside the default standard fr.wikipedia.org
I switched to TroubleShooting mode for my #1880442 bug, then I went back to normal mode.

Actual results:

My non-default search engines disappeared.

Expected results:

My non-default search engines should be preserved.

Component: Untriaged → Search

When you went into troubleshooting mode, did Firefox revert to English? If so, I think this is a duplicate of bug 1715691.

Flags: needinfo?(f0rhum)

Yes. Firefox reverts to english.
Additional info : this is a synced profile, 3 devices, one which is seldom used (Windows XP last supported release) last used 10 month ago, passwords sync broken IIRC.
The 2 other sides often used and synced OK until recently. These 2 are same FF release (ubuntu FF snap 122 ATM), and both switch to english on troubleshooting.
In bug 1715691 :mak makes a good description
So yes this bug is a duplicate, sorry my search keywords were not precise enough.

So yes this bug is a duplicate, sorry my search keywords were not precise enough.

No problem, I'd rather have it logged and find it is a duplicate, than not logged at all.
