Trunk build 2002-01-07-01: Mac X

Overview: Keyboard navigation in the Account Wizard has regressed severely. Here
are some examples:

1. First Account Wizard dialog
a. Arrow keys do not switch between radio buttons to choose the type of account
(i.e. Email, AOL, WebMail,Newsgroup)

2. Identity dialog (second dialog)
a. Tab and Shift+Tab switches focus between the two text fields and it never
goes to the Navigation buttons (Back, Next, Cancel). Press Enter and it
progresses to the next dialog because the Next button is selected by default but
there is No way to access the buttons to go Back or Cancel.

3. Server dialog (third dialog)
a. The POP radio button is selected by default, with the cursor in the Server
text box. Press the Tab key and the cursor remains in the text box.

4. The same is true for all other Account Wizard dialogs.

Expected Results: Using the Tab, Shift+Tab and the arrow keys should move the
focus to all elements of a dialog including radio buttons and the navigation
buttons.

Additional Information:
Navigating through the dialogs via the keyboard was working in Netscape 7.01 so
this is a definite regression.
Marking nsbeta1 because this makes creating accounts via the keyboard very poor.
This has regressed since Netscape 7.01.
Keywords: nsbeta1
Additional Information:

Trunk build 2003-01-07: WinMe, works similar to 7.01.
Trunk build 2002-12-20: Linux RH 8.0, works similar to 7.01.

So the regression appears only in Mac X builds.

ninoschka, i think this should be working in current builds (branch and trunk)
on OS X. is this still a problem?

another thing to keep in mind: if you're using the classic theme, the focus ring
doesn't appear around XUL buttons. however, you can still activate them via the
keyboard (spacebar or return). that's covered by bug 203734.

Thunderbird Account Wizard has the same limited keyboard access as described in this bug.

This works fine for me in 2.0 with 10.5.8. Tabbing and arrow navigaton works as expected.
