Type Ahead is active in select (pulldown menu) and pressing keys to skip to
items does not work until the Type Ahead timeout occurs
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. tab to a select (pulldown menu)
2. start typing the first letter of items in the menu
Actual Results:
Select menu will not change until type-ahead timeout.
Expected Results:
Type Ahead should not be active when the focus is on a select. pressing a key
on the keyboard should skip to each successive menu item starting w/ that letter.

I missed this before I filed my bug, but it a duplicate.
Bug 188101 is the duplicate.
The patch for Bug 187511 is the cause.

You sure this happens on win2k? I can't duplicate this problem.

i cannot repro this using 2003.01.14.12 comm trunk bits on win2k, linux rh8.0 or
mac 10.2.3.
