I missed this before I filed my bug, but it a duplicate. Bug 188101 is the duplicate. The patch for Bug 187511 is the cause.
You sure this happens on win2k? I can't duplicate this problem.
i cannot repro this using 2003.01.14.12 comm trunk bits on win2k, linux rh8.0 or mac 10.2.3.
