When filtering a large number of messages in date order for a keyword, search from most recent to least and keep the most recent match at the bottom of the list, piling older ones on top

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/115.0

Steps to reproduce:

In main view tab with All Mail selected, with the message list in date order, click in search box and type x v i [Enter].

Actual results:

Eventually the most recent result (probably the one you're looking for) will appear. You right click on it to say what you want to do with it and all hell breaks loose as new search results arrive, the result panel slobber up and down and different results are selected at random. You have to wait for the search to finish before calm returns and you can go and find it and do what you wanted with it.

Expected results:

I would have liked the most recent result to appear first at the bottom of the list and at the bottom of the result pane, and for arriving less old results to pile up on top of it.

Workaround: Sort the by-date list in reverse order; when the recent result appears at the top, it stays there and is managable while older results appear lower down
