User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:125.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/125.0
Steps to reproduce:
I ran Thunderbird 125.0a1 (2024-2-28) on Wayland in Plasma 6.0.0 in a Fedora 40 KDE Plasma installation. I hovered over and off the Minimize, Maximize, Restore Down, and Close buttons at the top-right of the Thunderbird window repeatedly.
Actual results:
The Minimize, Maximize, Restore Down, and Close buttons sometimes remained highlighted after hovering off them in Thunderbird 125.0a1 (2024-2-28). Some of these buttons were highlighted at the same time after I moved the cursor off of them and remained so. The Minimize, Maximize, Restore Down, and Close buttons appeared closer together than in previous 125.0a1 builds, but I don't know if that was intentional.
This problem didn't happen with 125.0a1 (2024-2-27). I bisected between 125.0a1 (2024-2-27) and 125.0a1 (2024-2-28) with mozregression. There were five patches in the changelog. I'm not sure if any of them are related to this problem.

Firefox 125.0a1 (2024-2-28) on Wayland doesn't have this problem. My Thunderbird 125.0a1 has the Daily menu or hamburger menu button to the left of the Minimize, Maximize, Close buttons, whereas FIrefox doesn't.
Expected results:
The Minimize, Maximize, Restore Down, and Close buttons shouldn't have been highlighted after hovering off them in Thunderbird 125.0a1 (2024-2-28).

This problem still happens with Thunderbird 125.0a1 (2024-3-1), and it also happens in GNOME 46.beta. I'm reassigning this report to Core-Widget: Gtk since it doesn't seem to be being reassigned by the Bugbug bot or otherwise and I guess the Minimize, Maximize, Restore Down, and Close buttons are Gtk widgets.

This problem doesn't happen with Thunderbird 125.0a1 (2024-3-5) which has Minimize, Maximize, Restore Down, and Close buttons spaced further apart. I found using mozregression that the first good revision was Bug 1883252 - Port bug 1560702: Improve hit boxes of titlebar buttons.
