User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:123.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/123.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open about:firefoxview#opentabs in a new tab
- Make sure that it shows all your unpinned tabs. If it does not, you may have hit the intermittent bug #1883386. Simply try again, until it successfully shows your tabs.
- Right click on your the new "Firefox View" tab (at the top of the browser, not inside the Firefox View page), and "Pin" the tab
Actual results:
The pinned tab disappears from the list of tabs inside about:firefoxview#opentabs
This means that if the pinned tab is the only tab in this browser window, about:firefoxview#opentabs will show this window as having no tabs.
In any case, it is not possible to use Firefox View to navigate to the tab opened in step 1.
Expected results:
I feel that hiding pinned tabs from Firefox View, is the wrong design decision.
(I have no idea why someone would think it was the right one! I'm sure it made sense at the time though.)
I normally keep two windows open, with one pinned tab in each: GMail, and Element chat. These pinned tabs don't appear in Firefox View. If I have no other tabs, Firefox View appears to show two empty windows. It makes it look like something has gone wrong. It is also weird, considering how important my GMail tab is! Pinned tabs are supposed to be important ones.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Firefox View' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Marking as New as this is an enhancement. I was able to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 22.04 using FF build 123.0.
