Details

Found in

  • Nightly 125.0a1

Affected versions

  • Nightly 125.0a1

Tested platforms

  • Affected platforms: macOS 10.14, Ubuntu 20.04

Steps to reproduce

  1. Navigate to Youtube.
  2. Open any video and enter full screen.
  3. Enable Screenshots.

Expected result

  • Screenshots overlay should be opened and display all elements.

Actual result

  • "Save visible" and "Save full page" buttons are not present.

Regression range

  • This is not a regression; it's reproducible only with the component version of Screenshots.

Additional notes

  • The "Save visible" and "Save full page" buttons are visible when 'screenshots.browser.component.enabled' is set to false in about:config.

This issue is present on Windows 11 with firefox 125.0a1(2024-03-08)

We intentionally hide browser chrome when a video is full screen. I think in this case the component behavior is the expected behavior. Its still possible to select and area and take a screenshot and I'm not sure the visible / full page buttons would add any value here anyhow as the full screen video isn't overflowed or scrollable.
