Attached file firefox_info.txt

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:123.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/123.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Have a misspelled word, which spellcheck correctly identifies.
  2. Have the word be semi-close to the top of the page.
  3. Right-click the word and open the context menu.
  4. Click the literal top-most suggested word correction.

Actual results:

Nothing. Something about the menu being all the way at the top of the page doesn't let me select the top-most word. I can hover over the word and it highlights the option in the context menu correctly. Clicking on the word does nothing, I have to hit [Enter].

Expected results:

Selection upon click of context menu entry.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Spelling checker' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Spelling checker
Product: Firefox → Core

Thank you for providing the support context; I see you are on Wayland on Ubuntu and this sounds like this is related to bug 1729718 which describes a more extreme version of the problem. The spell checker itself is definitely not involved in any problems here, so I think the linux (gtk) widgets component is probably the best place for this bug.
