I'm seeing a problem that I think started fairly recently where some messages are failing to scroll. This happens whether I'm reading in 3-pane view, and when I double-click on the message so it opens in its own window.

If I "Forward" the message, then I can successfully scroll through the full content, which is how I've been reading them !

I haven't tracked exactly when this happens, but I notice that current message with a problem has a HTML body that is a single table, with a single row <TR>. That row itself contains a table with multiple rows, and for this particular message the table nesting is as deep as 5.

My intuition (probably wrong) is that the viewing engine thinks it is displaying the entire table because its showing the one and only row.

This is not a state that TB gets into, it persists across restarts, and TB is displaying other messages fine.

Please always list your full version number.

Sorry Wayne - I think Bugzilla has changed its interface, it didn't ask for all the normal fields this time and o. Is 120.0b6

OS: Unspecified → macOS
Version: unspecified → Thunderbird 120

Could you construct an example that shows the effect and attach it here?

Sorry, not any more, that was 3 months ago, and I haven't seen it recently - I'm guessing the problem was fixed, (rather than not getting messages that trigger it) as it used to happen fairly regularly.
