Prerequisites

1. Go to the three-dot menu - Settings - About Firefox Nightly, and tap 5 times on the logo.
2. Exit the About Firefox Nightly, and go to the Secret Settings.
3. Enable the "Enable Firefox Translations" toggle.
4. Set your device's OS to English - US.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a translatable page, like yr.no.
2. Tap on the translation icon.
3. Observe the "Translate from", and the "Translate to" sections.
4. Manually select the correct languages (Norwegian Bokmal, and English), and tap on "Translate".

Expected behavior

After step 2, the "Translate from", and the "Translate to" sections don't detect the languages.
After step 4, the page should be translated.

Actual behavior

After step 2, the "Translate from", and the "Translate to" sections should be autofilled.
After step 4, the "Translating" button displays a spinner that does not stop, even when the page is translated.
Tapping outside the bottom sheet, the translated page is displayed.

Adding the logcat, it might help.

When you have a chance, could you retest this device? I think this could have been solved by either bug 1892715 or bug 1895356 in terms of not dropping the bottom sheet when the translation finishes.

Not sure about not auto detecting the languages, that seems particularly unexected, but a lot has changed in the engine since this report.

Verified on the 130.0a1 build from 8/3 with Sony Xperia Z5 Premium 9Android 7.1.1), that the languages are detected, and the translation is working properly.
