Boris: The stacktrace looks somewhat similar to the other bugs. Could this be a dupe?

yes... that's why I said what I said and marked the dependency. Given the uselesness of this stack trace, best we can do at the moment.

Giorgio - please could you try turning off location bar autocomplete (in Preferences, under Navigator, Smart browsing) and then close the browser (it may crash) and open it again. Does it crash still after you do that?

I have turned off the Autocomplete and I've got no more crash.

thanks Giorgio. in that case I think we can say that this is the same as bug 156940. that bug has just been fixed, so if you get today's nightly build, you should be able to turn on autocomplete again without crashing. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 156940 ***
