Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030110 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030110 Windows dialogs such as the display properties or the taskbar propeties sometimes hang when changes are applied. The dialog remains in an hourglass state until Mozilla is closed. This happens quite commonly, but not always, and I can't find a specific activity that will cause it. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right-click on the taskbar and select properties. 2. Change a property and press apply or OK. Actual Results: The dialog remains although the window contents are no longer refereshed. If you hover over the dialog the cursor becomes an hourglass. It is completely frozen. The dialog either becomes active again (if apply was pressed) or disappears (if OK was pressed) when all Mozilla windows are closed. Expected Results: The dialog window should remain active so that further changes can be made or the dialog can be dismissed.
Reporter: Can you reproduce this bug with a recent build of Mozilla (for example, 1.4rc3)? If so, then please comment again with details. If not, then please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks.
Yes, still present. Quite intermittent, it seems easier to reproduce after long browsing sessions, but I can't identify a particular page or activity that causes it.
Reporter, do you still see it in Mozilla 1.6 (the latest released version) ? I'm using that all day at the office, and haven't encountered this bug yet. Do you know if it's related to change a particular property (fonts for example) ?
Unable to reproduce with Mozilla 1.7 Alpha on windows.
