For uploading profiling to profiler.firefox.com, perhaps we could allow masking (not uploading) platform information (OS, CPU), especially CPU model? Although I know this is useful for especially GPU issues, and usually it's not sensitive personal information.

Thanks for the bug report.
Can you explain why you'd like to hide this? As you mentioned, this is useful information to debug performance issues, and this isn't personal identifiable information.

Fundamentally, for an uncommon CPU model, I'm slightly concerned that it points to a small cluster leading to individual identification across profiles / other information sources. I noticed this appearance for CPU-Z reports (site:valid.x86.fr) may provide information sufficient for tracking. Additionally, for some users, they may need to protect their device capability information but share the report to post bugs, so I think it's reasonable to provide an option to allow opting out of hardware information.

I just noticed the robots.txt is rejecting crawlers, which is relatively good news.

Thanks for providing more context about your use case! It seems pretty niche though. I think it's best to not upload your profile for cases like this and share it privately to the other person instead.
