Steps to reproduce:
After upgrading Firefox from 123.0-3 (snap) and creating a new profile, I'm visiting https://www.youtube.com, and I'm logging in;
After logging in I enter some search term in the search box.
Subsequently I'm hitting backspace and holding it down.
Afterwards I'm downgrading Firefox to 123.0-3 (snap) and again, after creating a new profile, I'm visiting YouTube, log in and enter some text in the search field and subsequently press down backspace.
Similar issues has been noticed in different places but nothing consistent.
Actual results:
Under v124, only one or a few character are deleted, having to release and press backspace again to delete another character. being logged out, backspace works a bit better but not 100%.
Under v123, backspace works as normal.
Expected results:
it should delete character as long as backspace is pressed down.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
